Speak Up: Be Your Own Advocate in the Workplace

Speak Up: Be Your Own Advocate in the Workplace

with Rachel Druckenmiller

About This Class

Want to make a change in your workplace and grow together? Well, we want to help! This course is great for teams looking to rediscover the value of their individual strengths in the workplace.

How many times since March 2020 have you heard someone say, “You’re on mute!” in virtual meetings? It’s time to UNMUTE yourself…not just on your computer but also in your career.

Too many of us let self-doubt silence us and hold us back from going after what we want at work. We don’t speak up, assert and insert ourselves into opportunities or interactions, and we don’t ask for what we need or think or feel at work. As a result, many of us are on the brink of burnout and feel dissatisfied with and “stuck” in our careers. What if it didn’t have to be that way? What if we could show up with greater confidence, courage and clarity and become our own biggest advocates in our careers?

Key Takeaways

  • Clearly identify and articulate your strengths to build your confidence
  • Reframe stress, self-doubt and imposter syndrome and activate courage
  • Tap into the power of curiosity to help yourself find greater clarity in your career
  • Activate your courage to speak up and ask for what you want and need at work

Rachel Druckenmiller is on a mission to humanize the workplace. She works to ignite resilience, connection, engagement, and compassion in leaders and their teams through interactive trainings, workshops, and keynotes. Recognized by Forbes as a Next1000 Honoree in 2021, one of The Daily Record’s Leading Women of 2020, a 40 Under 40 Game Changer by Workforce Magazine in 2019, and the #1 Health Promotion Professional in the U.S. in 2015, Rachel is an award-winning trailblazer and thought leader. For over 15 years, she has inspired and empowered organizations with 25 to 60,000 employees globally across a wide range of industries.

Want to make a change in your workplace and grow together? Well, we want to help! This course is great for teams looking to advance their company’s journey for purpose and value-driven action.

Why do some organizations inspire greater loyalty and engagement from their customers and employees? How are the Apples of the world able to maintain a consistent and inspiring vision year after year?

It turns out that all great organizations think, act, and communicate in the same way…and it just so happens to be the exact opposite approach most of us take.

Every single organization on the planet functions on three levels: WHAT they produce, HOW they do it, and WHY they do it. What differentiates the great organizations from the average ones is how they understand and communicate their WHYs, HOWs, and WHATs.

This is the Golden Circle.

*Add any three 25-minute classes to your cart and the 15% discount will automatically be applied at checkout.

Work Smarter, Not Longer

Work Smarter, Not Longer

with Joe Sanok

About This Class

Want to make a change in your workplace and grow together? Well, we want to help! This class is great for teams looking to explore different structures outside of the conventional 40-hour workweek.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has caused almost everyone to rethink how and where they work. A four-day workweek has been touted as the future—a sanity-saving balance between work and life…but is it realistic? Would it mean sacrificing earnings or career progression? The Industrialists established the 40-hour working week many decades ago, but many of us now work far longer than this. As working from home blurs boundaries even further, there has never been a better time to discard this outdated model.

Discover a new way of working that not only maximizes productivity and creativity making you better at your job but that also will increase your happiness. The four day working week is coming…are you ready to make Thursday the new Friday?

Together we will:

  • Analyze why the previously accepted 40-hour week is dying and what is emerging instead
  • Discover how to experiment with working fewer hours for yourself and your team
  • Learn how to boost productivity and the brain research showing that when you slow down, you actually get more done
  • Gain the specific skills to implement working less and making more
  • Create a new, actionable plan for your four-day workweek schedule
Joe Sanok is the author of Thursday is the New Friday: How to work fewer hours, make more money, and spend time doing what you want. It examines how the four-day workweek boosts creativity and productivity. Joe has been featured on Forbes, GOOD Magazine, and the Smart Passive Income Podcast. He is the host of the popular The Practice of the Practice Podcast, which is recognized as one of the Top 50 Podcasts worldwide with over 100,000 downloads each month.

Leading With an Infinite Mindset: The Infinite Game Class

Leading With an Infinite Mindset: The Infinite Game Class

with our Optimist Instructors

Want to bring the practices from The Infinite Game to your team?

Check out Simon Sinek’s Team-Building Program: The Infinite Game.
Also, download the first chapter of the Infinite Game for free.

About This Class

Want to make a change in your workplace and grow together? Well, we want to help! This class is great for teams looking to advance a purpose, protect their people, and still generate profit.

Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. In infinite games, like business or politics or life itself, the players come and go, the rules are changeable, and there is no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers in an infinite game, there is only ahead and behind.

You’ve (probably) read Simon’s book or watched a video on The Infinite Game. This class is designed to apply these concepts to your life, relationships and career so that you can embrace an infinite mindset.

Those of us who adopt an infinite mindset build stronger, more innovative and inspiring teams, organizations, careers and lives. Ultimately, those who live with an infinite mindset are the ones who lead the rest of us into the future.

Together we will:

  • Understand how we all operate in both finite and infinite games, in our work and lives, and be able to distinguish between the two
  • Unpack the five essential practices to living and leading with an Infinite Mindset: 1) Advance a Just Cause, 2) Build Trusting Teams, 3) Study Worthy Rivals, 4) Prepare for Existential Flexibility and 5) Demonstrate the Courage to Lead
  • Explore new ways of adopting an Infinite Mindset so we can choose to live more meaningful, inspiring, and impactful lives

Gratitude at Work

Gratitude at Work

with Omar Brownson

About This Class

Want to make a change in your workplace and grow together? Well, we want to help! This class is great for teams looking to build better relationships through practicing gratitude together.

Why gratitude?

The brain has a biological bias to see the negative. Fear sticks to habits. Fearless gratitude is an intentional practice to disrupt those habits.

Notice life beyond being busy.

Each time you pause to notice gratitude, you rewire the brain. You create new neural pathways so you’re less likely to react to stress and uncertainty in unhealthy ways.

Unearth a new perspective.

Noticing is a practice. Meditation begins with noticing each breath. Mindfulness begins with noticing change. Gratitude begins with noticing good.

It’s in your nature to grow.

At the heart of this practice is the Gratitude Blooming Card Deck. Inspired by nature and art, the 39 reflection cards include prompts centered around mindful themes like Infinite Possibility, Trust, Joy, and Presence.

Together we will:

  • Pause to experience gratitude as a ‘gateway’ to self-care, healthier relationships, and emotional intelligence
  • Learn to trigger your positive emotions, so you don’t become triggered by your negative ones
  • Use the digital Gratitude Blooming cards to experience synchronicity—what we like to call beautiful confidence—which invites more trust and openness
  • Practice being your own best inner teacher and not needing to fix, save, or advise anyone else
  • Unearth the fearless gratitude that is already within your relationships, work, and life
Inspired by land, storytelling, and gratitude, Omar finds joy in making good visible. He is a public speaker, civic leader, and an entrepreneur. Omar co-founded the gratitude app gthx (as in “gee thanks”), co-hosts the Gratitude Blooming Podcast, and facilitates Gratitude Circles for leaders across sectors. Previously, Omar was the founding executive director of RiverLA and has held leadership positions across the areas of finance, land use, and social impact. Wherever he is, Omar makes sure to take a beat to notice beauty and share his optimism.

Make Better Decisions to Become a Better Leader

Make Better Decisions to Become a Better Leader

with Dr. Justyna Kucharska

About This Class

Want to make a change in your workplace and grow together? Well, we want to help! This class is great for teams looking to understand the psychology of how to make better decisions.

We make decisions every day: from small, everyday choices to big, strategic decisions. But every decision, big or small, has an impact—so it is vital that our decision-making process is as sound as possible. Developing this process will allow you to make more consistent decisions and choose options that are more aligned with your goals.

We are not as rational as we like to think; our judgment is compromised by a number of psychological factors, and so is our ability to analyze and synthesize information. In this class, we will learn how to recognize the biases in our thinking—and how to mitigate their impact.

We will also explore how to become more decisive and efficient—after all, not making a decision is also a decision. Finally, this class offers strategies to improve the quality of your problem solving to enable you to make more conscious, accurate decisions.

Together we will:

  • Learn the importance of critical thinking in decision-making
  • Explore how to use available information while recognizing the limitations of the information at hand
  • Recognize and manage psychological mechanisms that influence your judgment
  • Improve your ability to navigate complex decisions

Dr. Justyna Kucharska is a psychologist, researcher, and academic lecturer. She is passionate about the science of wellbeing and personal effectiveness. In her classes, Justyna shares evidence-based techniques that allow us to “hack” our thinking, emotions, and behavior to improve our lives.

Apart from working in academia, she has trained and coached business leaders and professionals to help them develop their soft skills.

Originally from Poland, Justyna has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, where she taught at the Queen Mary University of London and the University of Westminster.

FAQs

Pretty great actually—thanks so much for asking! We hope you’re having a great day as well.

All class times are listed in US Eastern Standard Time. We are working to add more time slots that are time-zone friendly globally.

While we wish we could clone Simon, science just isn’t quite there yet. That is why we’ve trained our Optimist Instructors to teach our classes. However, our two on-demand courses are taught by Simon – check out Find Your WHY and The Art of Presenting!

All sales are final for our live online classes, but we’re happy to help you get rescheduled if you aren’t able to make it!

Yes! When you register, you buy a ticket for each person—so one ticket means one person is attending.

When it’s time for class, you can log in here and click on your class under My Live Online Classes. You should receive reminder emails the day before class and again two hours before. Please check your spam folder if you don’t see those reminders in your inbox. We can’t wait to have you join us!

Don’t worry, we’ve got you!

1. Head here to reset your password

2. Enter your email address (the one you used at checkout)

3. Check your email inbox for further instructions

We are always looking to add more class options to accommodate our global audience. We hope to have some great options for you soon. In the meantime, Simon’s books have been translated into multiple languages and can be ordered online.

We totally understand that schedules can change at the last minute. An unedited recording is available for 48 hours after class ends for all classes except for our WHY series.

Yes, we have team options! We love that you are looking to take care of those around you. Your team can join a public class, and you’ll receive a team discount at checkout when you register 10+ team members.

If you want a private class just for your team, on a date and time that works for you, then visit our private class page and our team will be excited to help you.

Our team is more than happy to assist you; just contact us here and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

A spark is something quite small and, by itself, not very powerful. But a spark has the ability to ignite. An idea is like a spark; alone it is just a set of words, but it too can ignite. A great idea can inspire others to dream bigger. Let us all work together to ignite something greater than ourselves.

Let us all be a Spark of Optimism.
